How we fool ourselves with our sight

Our sight, the most complicated sense we possess, has been fooling the mind behind our eyes for millions of years. We believe that we have wide angle, high detail color vision, but the reality is our accurate color vision is concentrated inside a tiny part of our visual field. The rest is simply movement sensing, mostly black-and-white awareness.

Our brains, are capable of absorbing information at an amazing rate. Unfortunately, we only tend to allow them to read at 150 to 250 words per minute.

This is all because of the habits we develop when learning to read. These habits, are essential to the learning process but go on become the barriers to evolving our reading once the learning process is complete.
